The messier we get, the more memories we create. I am thrilled to be part of the Adora CC team! I hope to make a difference in your child’s life and educational experience.

IleahIleah Pope, Preschool Teacher

I’m Ileah Pope! I have been working with children for 3 years. My philosophy on child care is heavily rooted in love, first. I believe in forming an individual bond with every child in my class, so that school becomes a comfortable place, I become a trusted individual in their lives, and learning is something they actually look forward to.

In my classroom, we embrace fun, movement and curiosity. I believe that children go furthest when allowed the space and opportunity to explore.

The teensy bit of free time I get is usually spent writing, loving on my little girl and constantly seeking ways to better myself and expand my horizon.

My background as a music educator for nearly 30 years has been diverse with a scope of experience in preschools, daycares, public, private and IB schools.  I have a Bachelors of Music Education and hold a Level II certification from the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association with additional certificates in Orff Schulwerk, Health Rhythms and World Music Drumming training.  I also currently teach Music for Dancers at the South Carolina Governor’s School for Arts and Humanities and do West African drumming here in Greenville.

RenataCandace Lesher,  Support Staff

My name is Candace Lesher. I have a degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Development. I believe the experiences children have before the age of 7 will shape their personality for the rest of their lives and influence who they become as adults. I have always had a heart for children and began working with children in 2001.

My favorite thing about working with children is seeing the light in their eyes when they learn something new and the smiles on their faces when they are happy. Providing children, a caring environment with love and happiness is most important to me. I feel it gives parents peace of mind to know their children are in loving hands while away from them.

In my free time I love to dance, read novels, research psychology articles and go for long walks surrounded by nature with my husband who is my best friend.
