Why Adora Childcare?
We know that choosing an early education provider is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent. At Adora Childcare, we strive to provide a safe, structured, nurturing environment in which children can play, learn and grow.
Adora Childcare was founded on the vision that children learn best through the playful exploration of the world around them. We believe children’s opportunities for play are so important for their development. Our programs and play-based curriculum are designed to strategically focus on the specific developmental needs of each child. We offer a blended curriculum of play-based learning, STEAM focused activities, natural learning environments and character education to give children the tools to become life-long learners and great global citizens.
Our staff is amazing! Our teachers are not only educated and experienced, but they have a passion for early education, which makes all the difference. It truly takes a BIG HEART to shape little minds!
“Play is the work of childhood.” – Jean Piaget
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, play is essential to development because it contributes to the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well being of children and youth, and is, important to healthy brain development. From infant tummy time, toddlers playing peek-a-boo and building block towers, to preschoolers pretending to rocket into outer space, child-directed play builds strength and dexterity, creativity, reasoning, problem-solving skills and self confidence. Essentially, meaningful play in early childhood sets the foundation for academic success..Library Partnership
Reading with children from an early age helps them develop a solid foundation for language and literacy. We have formed a partnership with the new Greenville County Five Forks Branch Public Library located just across the street from our facility. The Children’s Librarian offers story time for our program on a monthly basis.YOUNG CHILDREN ARE NATURALLY CREATIVE, PERSISTENT AND CURIOUS
NATURE IS IMPORTANT TO CHILDREN’S DEVELOPMENT IN EVERY MAJOR WAY—INTELLECTUALLY, EMOTIONALLY, SOCIALLY, SPIRITUALLY AND PHYSICALLY.
Our classrooms allow children to have experience with natural materials in both our indoor and outdoor environments. Our teachers plan activities utilizing indoor and outdoor spaces. We rotate materials frequently so children are able to continuously keep their senses engaged.OUR ON-SITE NUTRITIONIST PREPARES MEALS THAT ARE NOT ONLY DELICIOUS, BUT ALSO NUTRITIOUS.
Our menu meets USDA standards for daily intake of fresh fruits and vegetables. We are a peanut and pork-free facility. We also offer vegetarian options to help meet specific dietary needs. Our teachers also incorporate food education into their lesson plans to promote the importance of healthy eating and proper nutrition. We serve organic milk that is locally sourced.
